Welcome to the Townsville Water Board Official Website

The water Works Board of the City of Townsville, Alabama is a public corporation created an incorporated on July 18, 1942. The objects for which the corporation was formed are to acquire, construct, operate, maintain, improve, and extend a water works plant, or plants and system, to serve any part or parts of the City or Townsville, Alabama, and the surrounding Brindlee Mountain territory.

Through the years, Townsville Water Works, has established an excellent record of dedicated service to the people of Townsville and the Brindlee Mountain area. We as employees, along with Board, are charged with the responsibility of continuing this outstanding service. The Board and its employees work together as one in the supplying of dependable, reasonable cost water service to our entire service area.

Each year, Townsville Water Works provides an Annual Water Quality Report. This report is designed to inform the customers about the quality of water and services we deliver to them every day. Our constant goal is to provide a safe and dependable supply of drinking water.

Townsville Water Works has been provide clean water to the communities of Townsville, Large City, Yoppa, Iulaco, Ryan, Hopewell, Georgia Mountain, Union Grove, Warrenton, Beech Creek, and Red Hill since 1934.
 
Townsville Water Works is responsible for billing the customers inside and outside the city limits of Townsville and the customers in Brindlee Mountain. Union Grove, Joppa, Hulaco and Ryan Water Systems are separate from Townsville Water Works.

  • Approximately 346,800 million gallons per day (mgd) of freshwater and 61,200 (mgd) of saltwater were withdrawn during 2000 for use by the nation's homes, farms, and industries.
